Caudle defeated Jason Mullis by just under 100 votes in the District 4 race.

Mr. McLaurin said they have worked with principals on teacher allotments for the next school
year. Due to the loss of ESSER funds, he said planning ahead is essential.Dr. Little asked if the EPI contract was supposed to be pulled. Mr. McLean said he previously
pulled the contract, but he feels that we could use the company to hire teachers, and that is
why it’s on the agenda.

Judy Little said we need to move forward with the contracts and get what we need for the
children. Dr. Truman said we need to be mindful of not approving the agreements because
other districts will take advantage of recruiting those teachers. Carol Gibson said we need to recruit locally first. Mr. McLean stated that our first priority is to
recruit locally. Dr. Truman asked for a one-pager outlining the initiatives we are taking to recruit
teachers.
