The “progressive”/socialist paradigm is single payer, centralized control, top-down decision-making and reliance on government coercion has and will always fail. At every opportunity I would contrast that paradigm with the alternative of free market innovation, decentralized power, competition and personal freedom. The task before us is to craft health reforms that will indeed lower cost, expand coverage choices and preserve quality of care through free market incentives that benefits everyone.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

To save the life of the Mother would be the only exception for allowing an abortion. Medical textbooks and scientific reference work consistently agree that human life begins at conception. Some of the world’s most prominent scientists and physicians have testified before the U.S. Senate that human life begins at conception.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
