Questioned whether community engagement was intended to facilitate a low-cost transfer of school land for the proposed complex.

Corniffe has questions about why nonprofits were invited to the meeting.

“So I’m hoping we are not here being patronized to appear to be for what they want to do so that the school will for more comfortable giving the land at little cost”, says Corniffe.

Project planners say the purpose of these meetings is to provide information and build trust in the community.
