Brian currently works as a social worker and previously worked in public advocacy for the nonprofit Gay Men's Health Crisis. He served as chief of staff to then-Assembly Member Jessica González-Rojas for more than four years, and subsequently served as chief of staff to State Senator Kristen Gonzalez. He also provided psychotherapy to young men at a residential treatment facility.
