Darializa Avila Chevalier earned her bachelor's degree in Middle Eastern studies from Columbia University and her Master of Philosophy from the City University of New York. She is currently working toward her Doctor of Philosophy. 

Darializa is an investigator at a public defenders office in Harlem. She also teaches college courses at CUNY Lehman, Columbia, and NYU.
