John Daniels is originally from Westwood, Kentucky.  He studied criminal justice at Frankly University and has an associate's degree in criminal justice from Kentucky Community & Technical College.  He and his family live in Ashland.

John is currently serving as a police patrol officer for Catlettsburg Police Department and is an adjunct professor at Ashland Community and Technical College.  He previously worked in the Boyd County Sheriff’s Office in the following roles:  patrol sergeant, chief deputy, patrol deputy, street level drug enforcement, and school resource officer.
