Greg Lay has a bachelor 's degree from Eastern Kentucky University and a law degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law.

Greg is a circuit court judge for the 27th Judicial Circuit in Kentucky. He was appointed to the court in 2004. Before taking the bench, he worked as an assistant commonwealth's attorney for the 27th Circuit and as an attorney for Hamm, Milby and Ridings.
