Michael Dudgeon has bachelor's and master's degrees in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech. He is married and is active at his local church.

Mike is an engineer and entrepreneur. He previously built several successful companies. He also served as policy director for the lieutenant governor of Georgia. He is currently the chair of the State Charter School Commission. 

Michael has worked as a design engineer for a computer hardware manufacturing firm for over the past four years. He previously worked as the Chief Technology Officer at a computer games company for over eight years and as the founder of a machine intelligence research lab, where he worked for three years. He also served as policy director for Georgia Lieutenant Governor Geoff Duncan for over a year. 

Michael previously served on the Forsyth County School Board and in the Georgia State House of Representatives.
