Shayna Boston is from Swainsboro, Georgia. She earned her bachelor's degree in educational studies from Clark Atlanta University.

Shayna previously ran for Georgia State Senate District 23 in 2024, but did not win. She also ran for mayor of Swainsboro in 2025 but was disqualified from the race.
