Arlene Beckles is from Barbados. She has a doctorate in organizational leadership, a master s degree in cybersecurity, privacy, and technology risk management from Florida State University, and a postgraduate program in cybersecurity from the University of Texas. She has one daughter.

Arlene Beckles earned a bachelor's degree in computer information sciences and management from the city university of New York, a master's degree in project management from DeVry University, a doctorate degree in business administration from Northcentral University, and a master's degree in law from Florida State University  

She is a mother of one.

Dr. Beckles is a lead cybersecurity and information security project manager. She previously worked in finance, banking, media, entertainment, and healthcare. 

Arlene has served as a consultant for a security consulting firm for the past eight years. She previously held various project managment positions in security for contracting jobs.

Arlene is currently a Georgia State Representative. Before her election to the state legislature, she served on the Norcross City Council from 2021 to 2024.

Arlene has served as  a Georgia State Representative for District 96 since 2025. She previously served on the Norcross, Georgia, City Council from 2021 to 2024.
