Gabriel Sanchez is from Cobb County, Georgia. He earned his bachelor's degree in film and video studies from Georgia State University. He lives with his partner, Annam in Smyrna, Georgia. 

Gabriel previously worked for Democratic Representatives Sam Park and Park Cannon in the Georgia State House. He also organized with the Latino community to advocate for driver's licenses for all and helped immigrants apply for citizenship. He worked with the Democratic Party to help flip Georgia blue in 2020. 

Gabriel previously worked as a policy associate at the ProGeorgia State Table Inc., and economic justice organizer at Poder Latinx, a field director with Rogelio Arcila for Atlanta City Council District 4, a campaign manager with the Committee to Elect Priscilla G Smith, a legislative aide for Representative Park Cannon's Office, a team lead with The Outreach Team, a deputy lead coordinator with the Democratic Party of Georgia, and a production assistant on the television show The Resident.
