Shiv Sachdeva earned a bachelor's degree and a law degree from the University of Georgia. He and his wife, Danielle live in north Georgia. 

Shiv is an assistant district attorney (ADA) for the Northeastern Judicial Circuit. He has worked in prosecution for 20 years, including 18 years as an ADA for the circuit. He previously worked at the prosecution clinic at the University of Georgia while attending law school there.
