Brian Gregory Sloan has a bachelor's degree in education from the University of North Georgia. Brian is married. He has three children and five grandchildren. 

Brian currently serves as a board of education member. He was first elected in 2007 and served until 2014. He was later appointed in 2024 to fill a vacated seat.
