Tracy L. Brisson earned a bachelor's degree in public affairs from Syracuse University and a master's in economics and finance from New York University. She is a mother.

Tracy previously owned a wedding and elopement company for over ten years, was the founder and president of a career-coaching and recruitment consulting company for nine years, and worked in the New York City Department of Education for over ten years.
