Demond Mason is originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Oklahoma City University and received an honorary doctorate in humanitarian leadership through the Global International Alliance. Demond lives with his wife and their four children.

Demond currently serves as the Newton County commissioner for District 2 in Georgia. He was first elected in 2019 and is serving his second term.

Demond currently works as an entrepreneur operating a health and wellness nutrition franchise and a transportation and medical courier business. He previously worked for The Coca-Cola Company in project management and served as vice president of education for the company’s Toastmasters International chapter.

Partnered with Georgia Piedmont Technical College to expand job training programs that prepare residents for employment opportunities created by local business growth.
