Said people should spray fruit and vegetables very late in the afternoon, when pests are active.

“Not every bug is a bad bug,” Webb says. “Most bad bugs come out at night or in the evening, so if you do have to spray, and I understand people have to spray their fruit and vegetables to keep the bad bugs away, it’s best if you spray them very late in the afternoon, mainly because [that’s when] those bugs are going to be […] munching down on your tomatoes or green beans or whatever it may be.”

She’s also a tireless advocate for bee education, often speaking at schools, churches, and civic groups. “The more people know about bees, the better chance we have of protecting them,” she said. “Pollinators are responsible for a third of the food we eat. This isn’t just about honey—it’s about survival.”
