Regina Gainer grew up in the Union Point Georgia and in 1993 graduated from Greene-Taliaferro Comprehensive High School. She graduated from Georgia Southern University in 1998 after earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology. She is married.

Regina is currently a County Board of Education member.

Regina was employed by Georgia Board of Pardons and Paroles as a Parole Officer in the Atlanta area, Georgia's Office of the Attorney General as a Civil Litigation Paralegal, and Georgia Department of Family and Children Services as a Social Worker.
