Dr. Demarcus Marshall has a PhD in public policy and administration from Walden University. He earned his bachelor's degree in philosophy and master's degree in public administration from Valdosta State University.

Demarcus currently serves as the County Commissioner for District 4. He was first elected in 2013 and is serving his fourth term.

Demarcus is retired from the City of Valdosta. He was also previously a political science instructor at Valdosta State University. He served as Infantry in both the U.S. Marine Corps and Army
