Jennifer is currently a member of the New York City Council, representing District 34. She was elected in 2021 and is serving her first term. She is the chair of the Committee on Technology.

Plans to study 311 complaints to identify and reform unresponsive agencies.

Opposes middle school and high school screenings as well as the Specialized High School Entrance Exam.
