About Chris

Chris Thompson is from Kernersville, North Carolina. He has an associate's degree in architectural technology and a bachelor\u2019s degree in construction management. He lives with his wife, Suellen, and their two children in Kernersville. They attend Kernersville Moravian Church.

Chris is a real estate appraiser at Ike Slaughter Appraisal Services Inc. since July 2012. He is also a partner owner at A+ Ready Restrooms & Septic Inc. since August 2006. He has been a real estate broker at Roberts Realty Inc. since 2005. Additionally, he has been the vice president at PCI Builders Inc. from June 1995 to 2016. He also runs Thompson Building Group, LLC, which he started in 2016.

Chris is currently serving his third term on the Kernersville Board of Aldermen. He was first elected in 2015.

Supports the establishment of a new regional Veterans Hospital and a new Public Library in Kernersville.

Supports sustainable growth and plans to implement pedestrian walkways, greenways, and sidewalks to promote a healthy environment and boost economic growth.

Believes public safety concerns should always be the top priority.

Supports the Chamber’s ‘Eating for Education’ program, which involves local restaurants and businesses raising funds to support grants for children's schools.

Believes in collaborating with stakeholders to develop a "meaningful and vibrant downtown."
