Wayne Martin was raised in southwest Atlanta and is a graduate of D.M. Therrell High School. He earned a bachelor's degree from Morehouse College and a master's degree from Arkansas State University. He lives with his family in Atlanta, Georgia.

Wayne has worked as Vice President of Government Affairs at Morehouse College, Regional Director of Government Affairs for Starbucks, and Senior Manager of External Affairs for Comcast.
