Terrell Fitz Johnson Sr currently serves as a public service commissioner for Georgia, representing District 3. He was appointed in 2021 and is serving his first term. He previously ran for Georgia State Superintendent of Schools in 2014 and Cobb County Commission in 2020, but did not win. In 2022 he ran for re-election to his current position, winning the Republican Primary, but the general election was cancelled due to a court ruling.

Fitz previously served as a major in the U.S. Army for 21 years and owned Eagle Group International, a defense contractor later acquired by Lockheed Martin. He later led ASID Group International and co-owns a dog park and bar in Georgia.

Fitz Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree in education from The Citadel, a master’s in education from Troy University, and a law degree from the University of Kentucky. He lives in Atlanta with his wife and has 4 children and 6 grandchildren.
