Chris Smith is a proud native of Perry, Georgia, having been born and raised in the community he is dedicated to serving. He graduated from The Westfield Schools in Perry, where he developed a strong foundation of values and community spirit. Committed to lifelong learning and growth, Chris earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Valdosta State University, equipping him with the knowledge to foster local economic development and support small businesses. A dedicated public servant and veteran, Chris served our country as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army. His military service instilled in him integrity, leadership, and a sense of duty—qualities he brings to his commitment to Perry.

Chris is a private pilot and former small business owner. He previously owned a local business in Perry, where he gained firsthand experience with the challenges and opportunities faced by entrepreneurs. Before that, he served as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army, where he developed leadership skills and discipline.
