Originally from Kansas, Councilwoman Cara earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Emory University before making Tucker her home in 1997. She lives with her husband Michael. 

Cara is the principal of consulting firm Schroeder Resources.

Cara Schroeder is currently a member of the Tucker City Council, representing District 2. She was elected in 2021 and officially took office in January 2022. She is serving her first term.

As a city council member, rezoned Lawrenceville Highway to attract business investment and revitalize a key gateway into Tucker.
