Cheryl Richardson - Cobb Foundation

Cheryl Richardson graduated from the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York with a B.A. in History with a concentration in Asian History in 1984. After graduation, she received a commission as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army, where she served for twenty-two years. While serving in the military, she attended American University’s Washington College of Law and graduated in 1997. Upon retiring from the military in 2004, Ms. Richardson joined the firm of J.D. Brown, PC, spearheading that firm’s Elder Law practice area. Ms. Richardson is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, Cobb County Bar Association and the State Bar of Hawaii.

Cheryl is an attorney at J.D. Brown, PC, where she leads the firm s Elder Law practice area. She previously served as a judge for the Marietta Municipal Court and as an administrative hearing officer for the City of Marietta.

Cheryl is currently a councilwoman representing Marietta City Council, Ward 1. She was first elected in 2017 and is currently serving her second term. She previously served as an Associate Judge for the Marietta Municipal Court from 2014 to 2016.
