Shean is from East Point, Georgia. He earned his professional degree in Architecture from Howard University’s School of Architecture and City Planning. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and volunteers for the East Point Planning and Zoning Commission, Community ImPACT, Zion Hill Baptist Church, the Villages at Carver YMCA, and the Alliance Theatre Advisory Board. He lives with his wife and their children in East Point and attends Zion Hill Baptist Church, where he is a former trustee vice chair.

Shean is the principal consultant at the Atkins Group. Before starting his own firm, he served as vice president of external and governmental affairs and corporate communications for Atlanta Housing. Earlier in his career, he worked as an architectural designer for a local architecture firm and spent ten years as the chief of staff and senior legislative advisor for the longest-serving member of the Atlanta City Council.
