Denis has been a resident of Dacula since 2017 and has lived in Gwinnett county for over 20 years. He earned an associate's degree in business management, a bachelor's degree in business administration and a master's degree in management with emphasis in project management. He also obtained his certification as a Project Management Professional, PMP. He and his wife Sheila together have five grown children and 2 grandchildren.

Denis is a vice president of operations at a telecommunications company. He has worked in the telecommunications industry for over 20 years. He served in the United States Marine Corps for 14 years.

Denis is currently a Dacula City Council member. He was elected in 2021 and is serving his first term. Before his election to the City Council, Denis served on the Dacula Planning Commission.
