Dean Moore moved to Clarkston in July of 1997. He is a member of the Clarkston Historic Preservation Commission and the Clarkston Greenway Project Advisory Group. He currently lives with his wife of 23 years, two dogs, a house cat, and a feral cat.

Dean is a construction superintendent and building manager. He has worked as a superintendent in charge of commercial building and renovation for specialty construction companies in Georgia. He also served as the building manager for the Museum School of Avondale Estates for over eight years, while continuing to take on special construction projects. Earlier in his career, he was a land surveyor for Washington Gas Light Company in Northern Virginia and worked as a customer service specialist with a residential construction company that specialized in multi-family townhomes and apartment condominiums.
