Brian Babin is currently serving as U.S. Representative for Texas' 36th District. He was first elected in 2014 and is serving his 5th term. Babin has also served as mayor, city councilman, and school board member in Woodville, Texas.

Brian is a general practice dentist. He served as a captain in the U.S. Air Force for four years and in the Texas Army National Guard for six years. Brian was the director, vice president, and chairman of economic development for the Tyler County Chamber of Commerce and director and past president of the Lower Neches Valley Authority. He also served as president of the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners.

Brian is from Port Arthur, Texas. He earned a bachelor's degree from Lamar University and a doctor of dental surgery degree from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston. He and his wife, Roxanne, live in Woodville, Texas. They have 5 children and 16 grandchildren. They are members of the First Baptist Church of Woodville.
