Jasmine is from St.Louis, Missouri. She earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Rhodes College and a law degree from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law and the University of Houston Law Center. She is a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. 

Jasmine was previously an attorney at Crockett Law, an assistant public defender for the Bowie County Public Defenders Office, and an associate at Haltom and Doan Law Firm.

Jasmine Crockett is a State Representative and a Civil Rights and Criminal Defense Attorney. She has served as a public defender and has her own law firm specializing in Civil Rights, Criminal Defense, and Personal Injury law.

Jasmine Crockett is a State Representative in Texas and has served on the Business & Industry Committee and the Criminal Jurisprudence Committee. She is a founding member and Vice Chair of the Texas Progressive Caucus and serves as the Treasurer of the Texas Caucus on Climate, Energy, and the Environment.
