Keith Self is a native Texan who graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He and his wife, Tracy, are members of the Stonebriar Community Church.

Keith Self retired from the U.S. Army with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel after serving for 25 years. He was elected County Judge in Collin County, TX, in 2006 and served three consecutive terms before retiring in 2018. He is currently serving as a Congressman.
