Marian Brown is currently the sheriff in Dallas County. Marian was appointed in December 2017 and then elected in 2018. She is seeking her 2nd full term.

Marian previously worked as a chief deputy in Dallas County. She also worked for the Duncanville Police Department, where she served as the patrol watch commander and assistant chief of police.

Marian is from Dallas County. She holds a Master Peace Officer Certification from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement. She graduated from the International Law Enforcement Institute’s Command College and the FBI National Academy Associates’ Command College.
