As a probate court judge, she administers the wills and estates of deceased persons, appoints guardians to incapacitated adults and minors, commits individuals for involuntary treatment of addiction to drugs or alcohol and mental illness, issues marriage licenses, and oversees certain cases dealing with criminal conduct.

Was an associate judge for the Mental Health Court at San Antonio State Hospital.

As an attorney at Scharf-Zeldes Law, she researched, drafted, and filed legal documents, and provided defense and counsel to clients, specializing in family law, probate, oil and gas, employment, real estate, digital assets, stocks, life insurance, investments, accounting, business, creditors, Social Security, Medicaid, IRS, Medicare, and cemeteries.

Said, “I protect families...I fairly adjudicate every case that comes before me with careful listening and patience. I work hard to educate our community about how they can protect themselves and their loved ones by planning ahead.”

Recipient of the Joel A. Toubin Award from the Jewish Federation and the San Antonio Police Officer’s Association Award for Profound Contributions and Dedicated Service to the San Antonio Police Officers Association.
