Steve holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Sam Houston State University. He and his wife, Sherry, have 4 sons and 6 grandchildren. Their family are members of St. Cecilia Catholic Church.

Steve previously worked as a patrol officer and sergeant with the Houston Police Department. He also owned a business, Radack's Ceiling Fans and Fixtures. He is a former district chairperson of the Boy Scouts of America.

Steve Radack and his wife Sherry have 4 sons and 6 grandchildren.

Steve Radack began his career with the Houston Police Department, where he served for 11 years and was promoted to Sergeant. He was later elected as the Constable of Harris County Precinct 5 and served as Harris County Precinct 3 Commissioner for 32 years. He also owned Radack's Ceiling Fans and Fixtures, a business with nine retail locations across Texas and Oklahoma.

Steve Radack served as the Harris County Precinct 3 Commissioner for 32 years and was elected as the Constable of Harris County Precinct 5. He was appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Texas County and District Retirement System (TCDRS) and served on the City of Houston Planning Commission and the Transportation Policy Council of the Houston-Galveston Area Council. Radack is currently running for the position of Harris County Tax Assessor-Collector.

As County Commissioner, helped shape Harris County's governance policies, which earned a high AAA Bond Rating.

As a Board Member of the Texas County and District Retirement System, Steve oversaw a retirement system with assets exceeding $8 billion.

As a court member, served on a board that set tax rates for Harris County, the Flood Control District, the Port of Houston, and Harris Health Hospital District.

Believes in efficient property tax management, having assessed, collected, and disbursed property taxes for 70 jurisdictions, including Harris County, and maintained nearly 1.5 million tax accounts.

As a county commissioner, led a staff of over 300 employees and oversaw Precinct 3 assets worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

As a city council member, he was involved in bond elections, property acquisition for parks and annexes, and oversaw emergency responses during floods, ice storms, tornadoes, and environmental crises.

As a county administrator, managed 8 community centers and maintained over 1,800 miles of roads and 5 miles of bridges across a 453-square-mile area.

As County Sheriff, he collaborated with department heads, testified in court and at the State Legislature, and liaised with local, state, and federal authorities on behalf of the County.

Supports local and national charities, having served as District Chairman of the Boy Scouts of America.

Served as Harris County’s Representative on the City of Houston Planning Commission and the Transportation Policy Council of the Houston-Galveston Area Council.

Served as Vice-Chair and then Chairman of the Harris County Criminal Justice Coordinating Council and on the County Purchasing Committee as 1 of 5 members comprised of County Commissioners and District Court Judges.
