Dee Hobbs grew up in Williamson County and attended school in Hutto, Texas. He holds a bachelor's degree in government from the University of Texas at Austin and a law degree from Baylor School of Law. He leads an adult Sunday School class and attends a small country church. He is married to his wife, with whom he has a daughter and multiple stepdaughters.
