Lisha was raised in Berks County and graduated from Governor Mifflin high school. She has an applied associate's degree in medical technology from Reading Area Community College and a bachelor's degree in biology and ecology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She also attended Cornell University's School of Agriculture and Life Sciences. She is married to her husband, with whom she has 6 children. She is a Christian.
