Robert earned his associate's degree from Harrisburg Area Community College, a bachelor's degree in communications from Penn State University and a master’s degree in education from Penn State University.

Robert worked at several radio stations as an on-air personality, a Public Service Director, and a Community Affairs Director. He has also taught courses in communication and speech at Elizabethtown College, Millersville University, and Lancaster County Career & Technology Center.
