Terry A. Johnson currently serves as state senator in District 14. He was elected to this position in 2020 and is serving his first term. He previously served as a state representative in District 90. He was elected to that position in 2012 and served for 3 terms. He previously served as a Scioto County Coroner. He was named to that position in 2002 and served for 2 terms.

Terry works as a physician for his own private practice. He previously worked as the director of Medically Assisted Treatment and Integrated Health Services at Valley View Health Centers and as an assistant dean of Ohio University's College of Osteopathic Medicine. He served as a Colonel in the US National Guard.

Terry holds a bachelor's degree in history from Ohio University and a doctorate degree in osteopathic medicine from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is married to his wife, Jennifer, with whom he has 4 sons and 2 grandchildren.
