She earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from The University of Akron in 1998 and her Master of Science in Counseling and Student Personnel from Oklahoma State University in 2001. She currently lives in Ada, Ohio.

Sheila Coressel currently works at Ohio Northern University. She previously worked at Bowling Green State University as a hall director.

Sheila Coressel has served as a council person for Ada Village since 2019 and is a member of the Hardin County Democratic Party's central and executive committees. She is running to be the representative for the 83rd district.
