Candace earned her bachelor's degree in international studies and German from West Virginia University and her law degree from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. She lives in Cincinnati.

Candace previously worked as a partner at Pinales Stachler Young Burrell & Crouse Co. LPA, and an adjunct professor and trial team coach at the University of Cincinnati College of Law.
