Bernie Quilter currently serves as the clerk of courts for Lucas County. He was first appointed in April of 1999 and was subsequently re-elected in 2000. He is serving his 6th full term. Previously, he served 2 terms as a Oregon city council member from 1995 until being appointed clerk of courts.

Bernie previously worked for Toledo Edison.

Bernie earned a bachelor's degree in political science. He and his wife Michelle have 3 children and live in Oregon, Ohio. He attends St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
