Justin Gerhardt currently serves as the State Senator for North Dakota District 34. He was appointed to this position in October 2023 to fill the remainder of the term of Doug Larson, who died in a plane crash. This is Justin's first campaign for public office.

Justin currently works as a construction project manager. He previously served in the North Dakota Army National Guard from 1997 to 2006.

Justin earned his bachelor's in construction engineering from North Dakota State University. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and Moose Lodge. Justin lives with his wife, Maren, and their 4 children in Mandan, North Dakota.
