DeAndrea Salvador currently serves as a state senator in District 39. She was elected to this position in 2020 and is serving her first term. She serves as the freshman chair for the North Carolina Senate Democratic Caucus.

DeAndrea currently works as a director of partnerships at Eli Technologies. She previously worked as a privacy advisor and a senior manager of corporate marketing at DataGrail. She also founded The Renewable Energy Transition Initiative, where she worked as CEO.

DeAndrea attended Wake Forest University and holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She is currently a master's of business administration candidate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She lives in Charlotte with her husband Kirk and their 2 sons.
