Susie Scott has experience working as a software analyst in the Triangle area after graduating with a history degree from North Carolina State University. She later chose to become a stay-at-home mom before returning to Randolph County, where she has been involved in community volunteer work.

Susie Scott served as a precinct official with the local Board of Elections for nine years. She was also elected as the Chair of the Randolph County Democratic Party.
