Jarrod is from Robeson County, North Carolina, and graduated from Purnell Swett High School. He earned a bachelors degree in political science from UNC-Pembroke. Jarrod Lowery

Jarrod Lowery was born and raised in Robeson County, North Carolina, and graduated from Purnell Swett High School. He furthered his education at UNC-Pembroke, earning a bachelor's degree in Political Science with a minor in History. Jarrod is married to his wife, Jennifer, and is a stepfather to Bryanna and Jayden, and they welcomed a daughter, Madyson Jade Lowery, in December 2022. Jarrod Lowery is a Marine Veteran who served as a tank technician for six years. After his military service, he graduated from UNC-Pembroke with a bachelor’s in Political Science and a minor in History. He worked on North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory's senior staff as a Regional Outreach Liaison. Lowery also served as an elected member of the Lumbee Tribal Council and was elected to the North Carolina General Assembly to represent the 47th House District.
