Lorenza is a native of Lake Gaston, NC. He earned his bachelor's degree in business administration at North Carolina Central University, followed by his master's and doctorate degrees in business administration at Columbia Southern University. He lives in Nash County with his wife and 4 children. 

Lorenza is currently serving as the chief officer of people and culture at the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle. His previous roles include executive director at Rebound, Alternatives for Youth, senior director of programs and operations at Made in Durham, program manager at the Triangle Literacy Council, and talent advisor at CSX.
