Lorenza is a native of Lake Gaston, NC. He earned his bachelor's degree in business administration at North Carolina Central University, followed by his master's and doctorate degrees in business administration at Columbia Southern University. He lives in Nash County with his wife and 4 children. 

Lorenza is currently serving as the chief officer of people and culture at the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle. His previous roles include executive director at Rebound, Alternatives for Youth, senior director of programs and operations at Made in Durham, program manager at the Triangle Literacy Council, and talent advisor at CSX. He is also a co-founder of the nonprofit Compass Youth Center.

Allen earned a bachelor's degree in computer and information systems from North Carolina Wesleyan University. He lives with his wife, Jessica, and their 5 children in the Samaria community of Nash County. They founded a local non-profit and a Christian soccer league.

Allen works as the vice president of technology and security for Carrolton Facility Management. He was the state chair of the North Carolina Republican Liberty Caucus prior to his election, and has served in various leadership positions within the Republican party.
