Mary has lived in North Carolina for over 30 years, and has two sons. She earned a certificate in office administration from Wake Technical Community College, and a bachelor's degree in journalism and broadcast journalism from the University of Kansas. Ya lives in Cary with her husband and 3 children. She moved to the United States almost 20 years ago. Ya earned a doctorate degree in sociology from North Carolina State University, and a law degree from North Carolina Central University.
