David Barber currently serves as the Alamance County register of deeds. He was elected to this position in 2020 and is serving his first term. He previously served as a clerk of superior court at Alamance County Clerk of Court. He was elected to that position in 2010.

David previously worked as an attorney at his own private practice.

David holds a bachelor's degree from Elon University, a bachelor's degree in renaissance and reformation from Catholic University of America, and a law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
