Mary L. Young served as the superintendent of Warren County Schools from 2019 to 2021.

Mary is currently a K-12 Education Advisor at T-Mobile and CEO of Dr. Mary L. Young LLC. She worked as a reading specialist and academy director for Friendship Public Charter School. Since then, she has worked in multiple educational administration roles, including as the principal of District of Columbia Public Schools, an education associate for the South Carolina Department of Education, and the executive director of Prince George's County Public Schools.

Mary earned her bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies, elementary education and teaching from the University of South Carolina, then her master's degree in education, specializing in reading, and her doctorate degree in educational administration and policy with a minor in business administration from Howard University.
