Bill is a lifelong resident of New Hanover County. He volunteers with the Wilmington Hammerheads Youth Soccer Club and his church. He is married and has 3 daughters. 

Bill is a retired entrepreneur in the restaurant and material management industries. 

Bill Rivenbark previously served as a member of the New Hanover County Board of Education. He was elected to serve as the chair of the New Hanover County board of commissioners in 2020, and is currently serving his first term.
